Loretta Masaro: President

Loretta holds both a BSc in clinical nutrition and an MBA. Loretta started her career as a supervisor in the department of nutrition at Toronto's Mount Sinai Hospital. She then embarked upon a 14 year career in two of the leading pharmaceutical companies in the world. Serving in various positions, which included management in both the commercial-sales/marketing sector as well as scientific affairs, Loretta developed a solid business acumen which earned her prestigious awards and assignments. Expertise was gained particularly in the therapeutic areas of cardiology, thrombosis, diabetes and nephrology. While working in scientific communications/education, Loretta researched and presented many posters and workshops at international conferences. Her key areas of interest included evidence based medicine and adult learning theory/patient education. Loretta is responsible for the development of all corporate strategic business as well as all regulatory filings for Health Canada.

Randall DeMone: Vice-President

Having 24 years of experience working closely with professionals in the natural health sector, combined with a marketing education, Randall is responsible to oversee all client relations nationally. Randall has built an excellent reputation within the industry based on his strong ethics, his excellent awareness of client needs, and his vast knowledge of natural health products. In collaboration with our scientific advisory board, Randall is also responsible for product innovation and development. As a founding member of Cyto-Matrix Inc., Randall has encompassed the values, philosophies and ethics that our clients expect from a natural health product supplier. These have subsequently become the foundation of all Cyto-Matrix corporate policies and procedures.

Ashok Bhatt: Director of Finance

After attaining his Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Commerce degrees, Ashok left India to gain international experience, working as a chief accountant in Kenya, Zimbabwe and England. Upon immigrating to Canada in 1988, Ashok received his CPA designation while being employed as a Senior Manager at Deloitte and Touche. He is a partner at Zaritsky Penny LLP, a prominent Chartered Accounting firm in London, Ontario, and also has designation as a Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) from the Canadian Institute of Business Valuators. Ashok brings a wealth of experience in managing all corporate finance and accounting for Cyto-Matrix.

Michelle Cali: Ontario Regional Manager

Michelle completed her Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Waterloo. In an effort to pursue a career in natural health and alternative medicine, Michelle went on to complete her Naturopathic Doctorate at Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine.

After a year working as the student representative for Cyto-matrix, Michelle is pleased to join the company again as the Ontario Regional Manager. As a Naturopathic Doctor, Michelle is dedicated to health and nutrition. In this regard, she recognizes the importance of therapeutic grade supplements to prevent disease and augment healing. Michelle is an advocate for the science of natural medicine and is pleased to support a like-minded company.

Edie Daponte: British Columbia Regional Manager

Since Edie’s first job as a fitness instructor, she has been passionate about health and wellness and enjoying life. As an avid sailor, she is inspired and awed by the nature and outdoors accommodated by living on Vancouver Island, BC.

With 15 years of experience as a medical device and pharmaceutical representative, Edie is best known by her customers for her enthusiasm, service and integrity. She is very excited to join the team at Cyto-Matrix!

Andrew Munaweera: Prairie Provinces Regional Manager

Andrew brings 20 years of experience in sales, marketing and education to health professionals, fitness professionals, pharmacies in the natural health industry. Andrew’s diverse career has allowed him to gain valuable knowledge and experience working in both the US and Canada with large and small manufacturing and distribution companies from around the world. With a background in marketing, entrepreneurship, technical writing and nutraceutical sales, Andrew is a valuable addition to the Cyto-Matrix Team.

Jamie Smellie: Student Representative, Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine

Jamie completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Guelph where he studied Nutrition and Nutraceutical science. He is currently pursuing his postgraduate education at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, Ontario. Jamie has a great appreciation for the outdoors, loves to travel and truly believes that epic travel alters perspective.

Having a strong background in nutrition and nutraceuticals while being passionate about health and wellness, Jamie has found a sound fit within a company that shares similar passions and values. As the CCNM student representative, he serves as a conduit of information between student learning needs, staff inquiries, Cyto-Matrix products and new product developments. Overall, Jamie is excited to be working together with a team that is dedicated toward raising the standard of safe and optimal patient care.

Natalie Rahr: Student Representative, Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine

Natalie has always had a deep passion for whole health and for working with individuals to help establish balance and healing. After completing a B.Sc. in Biochemistry, Natalie spent eight years working with children with special needs, their families and at risk youth in various educational settings, tailoring support programs to unique and individual needs. With this experience and with a love for nature, travel, yoga practice and ancient medical modalities, as well as a concern for the health of her own loved ones and the health issues that plague our society, Natalie’s path came full circle when she recognized a great fit for herself in the Naturopathic field. She is currently in her second year of pursuing her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine. It is with great excitement that she joins this high quality team and is extremely happy to be a representative for Cyto-Matrix at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in New Westminster, BC.
